Arthritis Diet Guide

Are you or any of your loved ones is suffering from arthritic pain? Are you frustrated of spending huge sums of money on various types of bogus arthritis treatments? I know that you have been promised of cure by many, but you have found none. Now I will show you something that will definitely alleviate your arthritic pains and symptoms. Unfortunately, this is a secret which many of you are unaware of.

Majority of the medical experts believes what it sees by eyes or detect in the laboratory. This goes for the treatment of diseases as well. Whatever is not proved either on animals or shown in the laboratory is not believed to be capable of curing diseases. In just a few moments you will encounter facts that if followed exactly will treat your arthritis pain.

Though there is a non consensus among health care professionals regarding the influence of diet in treating arthritis, good diet can influence some kinds of arthritis, if not all types.

One example is gout or gouty arthritis, which is affected by the uric acid levels in blood. A diet which contains less alcohol and less purine-rich foods lowers serum uric acid levels. This leads to a decrease in gouty arthritic pain. In some patients who are suffering from rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis, good diet has proved to have curative effect.

If you follow a good arthritis diet, you will gradually realize that your arthritic symptoms are alleviated to a great extent. In no time you will be able to live a normal lifestyle which is free from any pain and discomfort. Apart from relief from pain, there are many other benefits too of a balanced diet such as it is cost effective and there are no painful needles (injections) and pills.

Now, to clarify what actually good diet is. If you are thinking that being on good diet gives you the freedom of going to your favorite restaurants and indulge in anything and everything, then my dear friend, you are wrong. This will only make you obese and aggravate your condition. Excess weight will cause an extra strain on your already suffering weight bearing joints such as knee joint and hip joint.

Good diet also does not mean going on a strict diet.  The diet which I am discussing is very simple. It does not go by any fancy name either, making it a hard to believe diet. It only requires you to ensure that whatever diet you eat is rich in all the important vitamins as well as minerals. A major factor which causes arthritic pain is swelling and inflammation of tissues surrounding the joints. Vitamins and minerals help alleviate the pain by reducing this swelling.

But before starting any diet, I recommend that you consult your physician.  A good diet not only give you relief from the arthritic symptoms, but also gives you a healthy body and mind.
