Acid Reflux Symptoms

The symptoms according to the medical suggestion are the food intake flows back to the stomach from the esophagus. It is not the natural process of the human body reaction. This symptom is also called as Gastro Esophageal Disease (GERD). The esophagus is a tube that connects the stomach and the throat. In normal cases when a person takes heavy food or spicy food certain amount of food remains in the lower portion of the esophagus; and this causes the burning sensation and acidic reflux. This symptom if recurring has to bring to the notice of the doctor immediately. Otherwise the symptom may lead to cancerous development of the stomach as the acidic reaction depletes the lining of the esophagus.

Causes of Acid Reflux
At the base of the esophagus is the Esophageal Sphincter which is solid rim of muscles. When we take food and it is not properly digested due to the conditions of food and stress conditions of te person then it revolts back to the throat and provides a heart burning sensation. The most popular symptoms of acidic reflux are heartburn, regurgitation as well as dyspepsia.

The heart burn does not affect the heart burn condition or it malfunctions. The acidic reaction inside the stomach affects the chest, abdomen and the stomach. This burning sensation or the uncomfortable feeling is one of the acid reflux symptoms and it can affect a person’s life style. Moreover, you can feel the acid outflow to the throat or even to the mouth if it is aggravated. This condition leads a patient to vomit, or have a sour taste in the mouth which can be very irritating and insulting when you are surrounded by friends or company. The other acid reflux symptom that normally is experienced by people is the stomach bloating and nausea which occurs due to the acidic reflux.

The prominent causes for acidic reflux are food allergies, pro-acidic foods, hiatal hernia, inefficiency to produce acid secretion, pregnancy, obesity, stress, smoking and over eating. This symptom can also occur due to medication such as acid blockers, asthma inhalers, aspirins, ibufrufane, valium or antivan, and Fosamax.

Acid Reflux Treatment Options
For acid reflux treatment such as acid reflux diet, it is pertinent to visit your reliable doctor and check with his/her diagnosis. This may need some clinical testing including x-rays or ultrasound. Please keep in mind that it is always better to take the advice of an experienced and knowledgeable person than to run after quacks. In certain cases the doctor may advice for instant surgery to ascertain the actual situation of the stomach and the acidic secretion.
