IfcReferenceEdge

The IfcReferenceEdge provides an edge information as topological reference for a products' shape. In addition the edge can refer to a curve, which defines a reference line in space.

The reference geometry is given for potential use in future extensions of IFC.

Formal Propositions:

WR1  :  A placement should be given if the edge is expressed by an edge curve.
