CORENET (Singapore)

CORENET is driven by the Singaporean Building and Construction Authority in collaboration with other public and private organisations. It is a major IT initiative undertaken by the Singapore Ministry of National Development to re-engineer the business processes of the construction industry to integrate the four major processes of a building project life cycle, supported by key infrastructures:

• Collaorative Design Systems
• Procurement Systems
• Construction Systems
• Facility Management Systems

Objective of CORENET is to re-engineer the business processes of the construction industry to achieve a quantum leap in turnaround time, productivity and quality.
Currently, the effort is focused at developing a set of infrastructure and industry projects in order to :

• Provide Information Services to allow businesses to speed up business planning and decision making processes;
